John Shedden of Morrishill and Broadstone, who, in 1787, married Barbara, daughter of Bailie John Wilson of Kilmarnock, and by her had three sons and three daughters.

After a spell abroad as a merchant he returned and maried his cousin, Barbara Wilson of Kilmarnock and then Janet Simson of Willowyard.
He had 6 children and died at Morrishall in 1833.
