John Skimming (or McSkimming) and Agnes Nish (or McNish) had three unmarried daughters: Helen or Ellen, Maria or Marion and Agnes. The three girls lived in Kirkcudbrightshire between the mid 1800's and early 1900's. Helen or Ellen had two children: Marion and Elizabeth. Maria or Marion also had two children: Georgina and Jessie. Agnes had a son: James. The three families were employed in farming.
