Mary Jamieson, Daughter of Hugh Jamieson and Agnes Tait, was born in Kirkcudbright on 3rd Oct 1859. She married John Brackenridge on 11th July 1879 at Tongue of Bombie in the parish of Kirkcudbright.
According to their marriage certificate, both John and Mary were 19 years old, John was a Stone Mason and Mary was a domestic Servant. John's usual address is given as Dalbeatie.
21 year old John and Mary appear in the 1881 census living in Castle Douglas at the Police Office. John is a Police Constable. On the 1891 census for Peterhead and the 1901 census for Dennistoun, John is a Prison Warder.
Mary died 30 December 1906 and just 32 days later her husband, John, died on 31 Januuary 1907. They both died in Dennistoun, Glasgow.
