Jessie's year of birth is not certain. There is a notice in the Bombay times of the birth of an unamed daughter of A.H. Shedden on 26/1/1853. On the baptism record, Jessie's DOB is 25 Jan 1854. In the BASCA's graveyard book for Christchurch, Trivandrum, Jessie's age when she died on 27 Dec 1890 was 39 yrs, 11 mths, 1 dy which would make her DOB 26 Jan 1851.
