The earliest information known about the D'Silva family has come from the family of Francis D'Silva and Christina Shedden,
they knew that Francis had two brothers, Alfred and Walter.
Good document and DNA trails have been found to confirm the history
of both these brothers and their families.
One of Alfred's descendants suggests that the brothers may have been orphans.
Working on information found in directories found at the British Library and now on-line, it would seem that the three brothers. were all involved in education administration in Calcutta and Ranchi.
A DNA match suggests that Nazareth D'Silva is a close relative of this family, possibly a brother of Frances, Alfred and Walter's father.
