Christina Matilda Shedden married Thomas Albert Pierce in Ajmere in 1882. Thomas and Christine had four daughters, three were born in Arrah and one in Allahbad, I think one may have died young.
The information contained in Thomas and Christina's British Library marriage record tells us that Thomas was a 34 year old Batchelor, his occupation was Telegraph Master and his father's name was John Pierce.
Thomas died in 1888 in Allahbad.
After Thomas died it seems that Christina and her family moved to Calcutta.
The Thackers Directory for 1897 lists a C.M. Pierce, midwife
living at 42 Metcalfe Street. Also living at the same address are F. D'Silva Asst. in charge Bruce Instn. and L. Simmonds.
My guess is that widow Christina married Francis D'Silva around 1892 (1 year before the birth of her first child with Francis D'Silva).
The information I have on the children of Thomas Pierce and Christina Shedden is:
Mildred was born on 28 Nov 1882 in Arrah, she married John Hanwith-Horden on 17 Oct 1904 in Calcutta and they had one son.
John Hanwith-Horden died 3 Jan 1908 and then Mildred, his widow married Joseph Cheriman 30 Dec 1912 in Calcutta. Mildred and Joseph had one
daughter, Sybil Marie Cheriman born 5 Jan 1918 in Calcutta.
One of Sybil's descendants is a DNA match with a descendant of the daughter of
William Osmund D'Silva, who was Mildred's half brother.
Margaret was born on 23 Jan 1884 in Arrah, she did not marry and emmigrated to UK 1952. Margaret died Jun 1972 in Enfield.
Alice was born 20 July 1885 in Arrah, she married Charles Hanwith-Horden on 27 Oct 1902 in Calcutta (Sisters Mildred and Alice Pierce married brothers
John and Charles Hanwith-Horden).
Alice and Charles had at least five children, I think they emigrated to Australia.
Ellen was born on 5 July 1887 in Allahbad. I have not found anything else about Ellen and think she may have died young.
