John McSkimming and his wife Mabel Kennan lived in Kirkcudbrightshire in the late 1800's and early 1900's. John's occupation was ploughman. John and Mabel had seven children: Margaret, William, Annie, Roddan, James, Isabel and Rose. Isabel and Rose were twins.
